Hyderabad: Monsoon Emergency Teams On Alert At Water Logging Points

Hyderabad, July 16: Monsoon emergency teams are ready to tackle the flood at the field level as the Meteorological Department has issued a rain forecast in Greater. In case of rain, the GHMC commissioner and zonal commissioners are constantly issuing orders and alerting the traffic jams due to standing water at the water logging point.

Apart from this, the field-level officials who have neglected the review have been alerted to take action. The Monsoon Emergency Teams appointed by the field-level authorities for water logging points in their respective jurisdictions will alert the laborers and remove the water.

Floating material due to the rain effect is cleaned by static teams. Measures have been taken to prevent rainwater from stagnating in the flood canal. Besides, some have also set up a shelter at the water logging point. They set up a banner to let the public know that we are ready when it rains.

When it rains, a vehicle has also been prepared so that the water does not stagnate at the water logging point, so that the flood can be removed from time to time. As part of the monsoon plan, zonal wise tenders were called. Monsoon Emergency Teams 254 Monsoon Emergency Teams and 238 Static Teams have been formed across GHMC. CRMP 29 and EVDM 30 teams are working along with them.

However, the floating material was removed from the flood channel and the road was cleaned by removing the sand and soil brought by the rainwater to allow the water to flow directly. The Commissioner of GHMC has taken specific measures so that people do not suffer due to floods in the GHMC area.
