Hyderabad, Nov.23 (Maxim News): Ahead of the GHMC polls on December 1, Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today appealed in a Telangana Builders Federation conference to extend support to the government which is working for all sections.
He said that people in Hyderabad including IT, other job holders and workers are not keen to participate in the elections. They must not confine to smart phones and internet and come out to participate in democratic process of voting on the polling day December 1, he urged. Earlier it was around 40 percent turnout by the city people which is not good while in other districts and towns 70 to 80 percent he said.
The minister urged the denizens to cast votes in the GHMC polls for city development. Only the TRS has the right to seek votes as the Government focus is on all round development as people from other states are making a better living here. Stating that teething problems are common during reforms he said that new revenue act and Dharani portal for free and transparent services for people.
He said that a meeting will be conducted with builders after December 4 to address their issues. Hyderabad ranked top in swachh sarvekshan and the best metro cities, in the country. We are doing more to protect it with improvement in facilities and infrastructure he said.
The common man can now register his lands or properties within half an hour he said. The confusion by Andhra rulers have spread fear that Telangana formation will lead to collapse of the real estate sector.
However he said that it was disproved by our government with a plan and action of all round development including real estate sector. We have addressed the power problem in six months by increasing funds and production. There is no more protests by women with pits, for water and traders, business people for power he claimed.
We set up a power unit through garbage, and two more dumping yards to come up KTR said. The state list it’s power capacity as seven mandals in Khammam were, added to Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation.
Soon a drinking water pipeline will come up beyond the outer ring road to cater to their needs the minister said. The KCR Government has cleared the confusion and panic created by Andhra rulers that power, water problems will prevail in Telangana state. We have been doing well to protect the cosmopolitan culture of the city that is focusing on the basic amenities. A grid to be set up linking Krishna, Godavari, and Manjira rivers he stated.
