The Hyderabad police have been conducting similar operations to curb the supply of ganja and other drugs. Such arrests also underline the focus on inter state transport of narcotics. However, the police did not disclose further details about the source network in Odisha or possible local contacts in the city.

At present, the case remains under investigation. Police officials are expected to question the accused further to gather more information related to the transport and intended sale of the ganja.
