Hyderabad Police | Hyderabad, Dec. 31 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Police Bike Rally was taken out in the intervening night of Wednesday in the Old City areas to prevent untoward incidents ahead of New Year Eve and to maintain public order.

The South Zone Police of Hyderabad City Police kicked off the massive bike patrolling rally as part of intensified security arrangements.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Khare Kiran Prabhakar led the rally, which covered sensitive and crowded localities.

DCP said that the Hyderabad Police Bike Rally aims to increase police visibility and ensure quick response during late night celebrations.

The initiative focuses on deterring violations and reassuring residents. Meanwhile, senior officers instructed personnel to remain alert throughout the night. They also stressed the need for coordinated patrolling to avoid any law and order issues during celebrations.

The Deputy Commissioner warned that police will take strict action against drunk driving, eve teasing, and dangerous stunts.

DCP Kiran said offenders will face immediate legal action. Therefore, police teams were directed to check vehicles and monitor public movement closely. Authorities said the Hyderabad Police Bike Rally sends a strong message of zero tolerance towards reckless behaviour.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police V.C. Sajjanar reinforced the message through a public tweet. He wrote, “Hyderabad Police bole toh — Zero tolerance to drunk driving.”

Sajjanar also cautioned people against arguing with police using imaginary laws. “Indian law has not discovered Sections 123 and 567,” he stated. Sajjanar added that such behaviour only leads to embarrassment and legal trouble.

In his tweet, Sajjanar explained the consequences of mixing alcohol with driving. “Here’s what happens when you mix booze + imaginary law,” he wrote.

Kotwal further said, “Instant Internet Fame – All family and friends WhatsApp groups and Instagram is now a museum of your brilliance.” Sajjanar added, “Your Car Goes to Boot Camp,” and warned that real lawyers rely on real sections of law. He concluded with a life lesson, stating, “Driving under the influence of alcohol and pretending to be a legal genius at midnight? Not fun.”

Police officials said such proactive measures are necessary during festival and celebration periods. They noted that New Year Eve often sees heavy crowds and increased violations.
