Hyderabad: Police Nabbed Two Inter-State Drug Peddlers

Hyderabad, March 27 (Maxim News):  On 26-03-2024 in the night hours acting on the tip of the sleuths of Central Zone, the Commissioner’s Task Force team nabbed an Inter-State drug peddler by the name of Jitendra Nahak N/o. Odisha State near Padmaja Hotel, Opp. secunderabad railway station in the limits of Gopalapuram Police Station indulges in the illegal procuring and transporting of Ganja from Bhanjanagar, Odisha State to Hyderabad and searching prospective customers for disposal at higher prices to gain illegal easy money. Seized 5 kg of Ganja concealed in 3 packets from his possession. One cell phone all worth Rs. 1.25 lakhs.

The accused Jitendra Nahak born and brought up in Kodala village, Odisha State. He had studied up to 10th standard, later discontinued his studies, and worked as a daily laborer.   Eight months back Jitendra through Facebook got acquainted with a friend and came to Hyderabad, got a membership in Swiggy Food Delivery agent at Madhapur, staying along with friends in the limits of Kothaguda, Hyderabad.

  He couldn’t fulfill his lavish expenses. Through one of his friends in his native village, he got to know that some persons are buying Ganja from village Bhanjanagar, Odisha State which is 60 km from his village, and selling the same to needy customers and earning huge profits. Upon which to earn easy money Jitendra Nahak hatched a plan to procure the ganja from his Native Odisha State at a lower price and sell the same at higher prices to the needy customers in Hyderabad as getting Ganja in Hyderabad is difficult.

  As per his plan two days by train he went to Bhanjanagar village, Odisha State, and purchased 5 KG Ganja from a local agent/ buyer for Rs. 20,000/- and he planned to sell the same to the needy customers in Hyderabad at higher price to gain illegal easy money.

  On 26-03-2024 in the evening hours, the said drug peddler Jitendra Nahak reached the Secunderabad Railway Station area to sell the Ganja, and while he was waiting near Padmaja Hotel, Opp. Sec’bad and searching prospectus customer for dispose the same on the higher price, in meantime on tipoff caught hold of Jitendra Nahak and seized 5KG of Ganja (which was wrapped with paper and covered with brown tape) from his possession.

 The apprehended accused along with seized Ganja handed over to SHO, Gopalapuram PS for further investigation.

The apprehension was made under the supervision of S. Rashmi Perumal IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, by. N. Ramakrishna, Inspector of Police Central Zone Task Force, B. Nagesh SI, and staff of Central Zone Task Force, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
