Hyderabad: June 15 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) project is undergoing an extension, with its total length increasing by over 10 kilometers. This article details the adjustments and the project’s current status.

Recent revisions to the alignment in both the northern and southern sections of the RRR have resulted in a total length increase of 10.28 kilometers. The northern part has grown by 2.95 kilometers, reaching a new length of 164.54 kilometers. The southern section has seen a more significant extension of 7.33 kilometers, bringing its total length to 189.20 kilometers. Officials claim these adjustments are necessary to optimize connectivity between the two sections.

With the lifting of the by-election code, authorities are prioritizing land acquisition for the northern section. They aim to complete this process within the next four to five months. The extended route, however, is expected to significantly increase the overall land acquisition requirements for the project.

The northern part already holds National Highway status, while the southern section awaits its official designation.

Authorities are targeting a foundation stone laying ceremony for the northern section within the next three to four months.

To expedite completion, the northern section will be constructed in six packages, with a maximum length of 34.52 kilometers per package. This approach allows land acquisition and construction to occur simultaneously within each package. (Maxim News)
