Hyderabad: Two Arrested for Illegal Cash Transportation, Rs. 40 Lakh Seized

Hyderabad, April 5 (Maxim News): The Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team in their recent operation conducted on April 4, has apprehended two individual involved in illegal cash transportation and seized Rs. 40 lakhs.

 Acting on credible intelligence, the team intercepted an Endeavour vehicle with registration number TS08HY-1919 at the parking area near Ramakrishna Theatre within the jurisdiction of Abids Police Station.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered an unaccounted sum of approximately Rs. 40 lakh concealed in a bag within the vehicle.

The two individuals, identified as Devini Muthyalu, the driver, and his accomplice K. Rajesh, failed to furnish any relevant documentation pertaining to the seized cash when questioned.

Devini Muthyalu, aged 42, hailing from Nizampet, Medchal, Telangana, and K. Rajesh, aged 31, residing in Tellapur, Sanga Reddy, Telangana, were subsequently apprehended.

The seized items included the unaccounted cash amounting to Rs. 40,00,000/- and the Endeavour vehicle with registration number TS08HY-1919, which was being utilized for the illicit transportation of money.

During interrogation, the apprehended individuals disclosed their association with one Wilson Babu, operating from Hafeezpet, and their involvement in the clandestine transportation of cash for illegal gains.

Acting upon instructions received from Wilson Babu, they had arrived at the designated location to receive the sum of Rs. 40 lakh from an unknown source. Their intention was to surreptitiously deliver the cash to Wilson Babu.

However, the operation was swiftly intercepted based on actionable intelligence, preventing the illegal transfer of funds.

The apprehension was carried out under the supervision of Ms. S. Rashmi Perumal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, with Inspector N. Rama Krishna and Sub-Inspector N. Nagesh, along with the dedicated personnel of the Central Zone Task Force Team, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
