Hyderabad Weather Forecast Brings Week Long Relief
- IMD Hyderabad predicts thunderstorms and cooler temperatures
- Hyderabad weather forecast signals drop in temperatures across Telangana
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Weather Forecast indicates relief from the intense early summer heat as the India Meteorological Department has predicted cooler days and thunderstorms across the city and districts of Telangana.
Residents recently experienced sweltering conditions. Maximum temperatures consistently hovered between 36 and 40 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad and nearby districts. However, the weather pattern is now set to change. The India Meteorological Department Hyderabad has issued a warning for thunderstorms and a gradual drop in temperatures until Friday, March 20, 2026.
The IMD Hyderabad weather forecast released on Sunday morning said, “There will be a gradual fall by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures during the next 5 days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana from Sunday,” the IMD Hyderabad forecast said.
IMD Hyderabad predicts thunderstorms across Telangana
According to the Hyderabad Weather Forecast, thunderstorms are likely to begin from Monday, March 16. These conditions are expected to continue until Friday, March 20. During this period, several places in Hyderabad and districts of Telangana may witness sudden weather changes.
The IMD said thunderstorms may occur in isolated pockets. These weather events could include lightning and gusty winds. Wind speeds may reach between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour during these storms. Therefore, residents may experience cooler and more unstable weather conditions during the week.
Temperature drop expected across Hyderabad region
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Weather Forecast also highlights a gradual drop in daytime temperatures. The IMD expects maximum temperatures to fall by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next five days. As a result, the current heatwave like conditions could ease across Hyderabad and surrounding districts.
Independent weather trackers also observed the sudden shift in weather patterns. They linked the change to moisture laden south easterly winds. At the same time, rising thermal instability in the atmosphere is also influencing the weather conditions.
Because of these factors, thunderstorms and cooler temperatures may continue in the region. Independent weather trackers say the present weather pattern could extend further. According to them, the thunderstorms and temperature drop may continue until Sunday, March 22.
Therefore, Hyderabad and several districts in Telangana are expected to experience fluctuating weather conditions over the coming days. Meanwhile, the IMD continues to monitor the situation and update its forecasts for the region.
