Hyderabadi Influencer Furkhan Kick Booked For Hurting Religious Sentiments

Hyderabad, Mar 24 (Maxim News): The Shalibanda Police have registered a case against social media influencer Furkhan Kick for allegedly posting a video that hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan. The video shared on Instagram and Facebook, features a Qawwali playing in the background while Haleem is being prepared at a stall near Yaseen Function Hall in Shalibanda, Hyderabad. The content of the video is said to be offensive to the followers of Hazrat Syedna Ghouse-e-Azam Dastagir of Baghdad, Iraq.

The complaint was filed by Mohammed Ahmed Jaleel, a businessman from Iqbal Colony, Bahadurpura, who stated that the video was insensitive and disrespectful, especially during Ramadan—a time of reflection, prayer, and unity. He claimed that such actions could incite anger, disrespect deeply held beliefs, and disturb communal harmony.

According to the complaint, Furqan’s video included a song that was deemed an intentional insult to the Quadri sect of the Muslim community, undermining their religious beliefs and Dargah traditions. The complainant urged authorities to take strict legal action against Furqan for his disrespectful portrayal of faith.

Based on the complaint, Inspector S. Ravi Kumar of Shahlibanda Police Station registered a case under Cr. No. 33/2025 U/Sec 299 BNS. The investigation has been handed over to WSI Shama Noor for further proceedings. (Maxim News)
