It seems that the owners of these are relatives of many politicians from Telugu states. However, the officials did their work without hesitation. If it is within the range of Full Water Level, it is enough. Bit by bit, the demolitions were completed under the supervision of HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath. Along with more than 12 buildings in Sedathire (ORO and SOS Sports Villages), the rich people have completely demolished around 50 buildings. In this process, the police arrested two people who obstructed the duties of the officers. A company made a huge venture under FIL and sold them as plots. Some rich people bought them and constructed them all to the ground.

HYDRA Commission Found Fake Permission Documents

Many have brought documents that they have permission for their constructions. Some showed no-objection documents as given by the engineers of the irrigation department. HYDRA officials, who went armed with the survey reports of the Metro Water Works and Irrigation departments, compared them with the documents given by the invaders and concluded that they were all fake in Moinabad Mandal Annojiguda, Chilukuru, and Gandipet Mandal Khanapur Villages, some fake permission documents with the signature of the Sarpanchs were found.  Several former Sarpanchs were found to be issuing them with the date of 2009. HYDRA has warned that criminal cases will be registered against such people.

HYDRA officials revealed that the Gandipeta and Himayatsagar reservoirs, which quenched the thirst of the city of Hyderabad for years, were destroyed by illegal construction and the sewage coming out of those buildings was meeting in the ponds. HYDRA has already received complaints about the farmhouses of former ministers, other public representatives, and other celebrities in the Himayatsagar area. HYDRA reminded that this is only the beginning and the actions will continue until the twin reservoirs are completely freed.

HYDRA officials, who have been working on encroachment for a week, demolished the hotel construction at Khanapur Pochamma temple at 8 am on Sunday. Another group demolished the rooms taken up by the pond fence. Later, they demolished the rooms in a venture and then 10 structures in the fire-acre ORO Sports Village in the suburbs of Khanapur. These include a function hall, a children’s game zone, and a hotel built less than 12 years ago.

HYDRA Commissioner AV Ranganath clarified that once the removal of structures in Gandipet FIL is completed, the focus will be on the buffer zone.  After that, they will attack the structures in Himayat Sagar FTL and the buffer zone. There should be no structures in the FTL and buffer zones of twin reservoirs and other ponds. Allowing them is also a crime.  Actions against such officials are inevitable, he said.  (Maxim News)
