HYDRA Eyes On Illegal Structures in Hussain Sagar

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (Maxim News): HYDRA is targeting the demolition of illegal structures on ponds. HYDRA has stepped up the work of demolishing illegal structures built on ponds and canals in the state. Many illegal structures have already been demolished.

Presently, HYDRA, which has taken a gap for the demolition of structures for a few days, is ready to boom again. HYDRA’s net focus is on the illegal structures built in Hussain Sagar. Complaints poured into HYDRA about Jalavihar‘s built-in FTL. CPI National leader and former MP Aziz Pasha complained to HYDRA to demolish Jalavihar.

He demanded to take action on Jalavihar, where Hussain Sagar has been grabbed and permanent constructions have been undertaken, are being heard heavily. The CPI leaders handed over the complete details of the Jalavihar occupation to the HYDRA Commissioner. Jalavihar has been constructed on 12.5 acres within the buffer zone of Hussain Sagar FTL, the Forum for Better Hyderabad approached the court against the construction of Jalavihar in the buffer zone.

Jalavihar was constructed in 2007. It is known that the then government had permitted a lease of 30 years to Jalavihar. Jalavihar has a water park and function halls. Jalavihar earns crores of rupees through visitor money and function halls. All Jalavihar effluents go into Hussain Sagar. In this sequence, Jalavihar became the next target of HYDRA as a result of the flood of complaints being received related to Jalavihar.  (Maxim News)
