‘I Spent 16 Days In Jail Without Sleep: If I Resorted Like You, No One In Your Family Would Be Outside: CM Revanth
Hyderabad, Mar 27 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said “I was put in jail for flying a drone during the BRS government. I was sent to Cherlapalli jail for failing to pay a fine of Rs. 500. I was detained in a detention cell where Naxalites, life prisoners and ISIS terrorists were kept for 16 days. I have been kept away from the marriage of my child. If I had also resorted to factionalism like them (KCR and his family) today, they would all be in Cherlapalli and Chanchalguda jails. Now tell me, is it me or you who is responsible for political factionalism? Cm Revanth Reddy made this comments.
During the discussion on the Appropriation Bill on Thursday (march 27) as part of the Telangana budget session, CM Revanth Reddy said, “if we had also engaged in factionalism like BRS, what would have been the situation of KTR?” He said that if we had engaged in revenge politics, KTR would have already been in jail. He criticized that some people think that advice and suggestions are meant to be given, not to be followed. They put me in jail in a small case of flying a drone and prevented me from seeing my child.
We went from Cherlapalli jail to the convention function hall to attend the marriage. They did not let me sleep in the jail. They put me in a room with lizards. Even the tube lights in the cell where I was kept were not turned off. When I asked to turn off the lights, they said that there was an order from above not to do so. I could not sleep at night and slept under the trees in the morning.
I became emotional remembering that I had spent 16 sleepless nights. I also made hot comments that if I also took factional action like BRS, not a single person in your family would be outside. They were fired for giving me wages and cursing the government, me and my family. (Maxim News)
