IAS Arvind Kumar Suspended Over Formula E Race Allegations
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has suspended IAS officer Arvind Kumar over Formula E Race allegations. The decision follows allegations of corruption and abuse of power linked to the Formula E car race. Earlier, the Centre granted permission to prosecute him.
The suspension forms part of departmental disciplinary action. Officials cited corruption, negligence, and violation of government orders. Therefore, the government placed him under suspension pending inquiry.
A criminal case has also been registered in the matter. Moreover, the Anti Corruption Bureau has begun its probe after filing an FIR against him. The investigation will continue until completion.
Formula E Race Allegations Trigger Disciplinary Action
The suspension over Formula E Race allegations will remain in force until the investigation concludes. Meanwhile, authorities have informed the Centre about the action taken.
Earlier, during recent IAS transfer exercises, the government kept Arvind Kumar on a waiting list. However, after reviewing the allegations, it proceeded with disciplinary measures.
The case now remains under investigation. Further action will depend on the findings of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
