- ICCIDSDT-2026 conference stresses collaboration and innovation
Hyderabad: ICCIDSDT-2026 began at Maulana Azad National Urdu University with a strong call for meaningful and inclusive research. Prof. R. S. Nirjar, Former Chairman of AICTE and Former Vice Chancellor of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, addressed the inaugural session as chief guest. He urged researchers to widen their thinking and link research outcomes with social needs.
During his address, Prof. Nirjar said, “Researchers must think beyond conventional approaches and ensure that their research benefits people living below the poverty line as well”. His remarks set the tone for the two day International Conference organised by the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology of MANUU. Prof. Stefan Wolfgang Pickl, Chair for Operations Research at Universität der Bundeswehr München, Germany, attended the event as Guest of Honour.
The inaugural programme was presided over by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor of MANUU. He spoke on the importance of collaboration and understanding institutional strengths. He also focused on how much support can be taken from machines and how technology can help create more jobs. Later, he stressed the need to distinguish between real and fake information and apply critical thinking for better research outcomes.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar of MANUU, said such conferences help strengthen research culture and skill development. He added that the outcomes of ICCIDSDT-2026 would contribute to progress in computational intelligence, data science, and digital transformation. His remarks highlighted the academic value of the conference for researchers and students.
Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean of the School of Technology and Chairman of ICCIDSDT-2026, explained that the conference was planned with a clear vision. He said it aims to bridge gaps between theory, real world applications, and industry driven innovation. Later, Dr. Ts. SyarifahBahiyahRahayu from the National Defence University of Malaysia and Dr. Santosh K. Pandey from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology also addressed the gathering.
Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Head of the Department of CS and IT and Director of ICCIDSDT-2026, shared details about participation. He said 344 research papers were received from countries including the United States, United Kingdom, UAE, Jamaica, and neighbouring nations. He added that 26 percent of the papers were accepted for presentation. The souvenir was released during the event. The conference is organised in collaboration with MeitY and Institutions Innovation Cell, with proceedings to be published by Springer.
