Ice cream idli goes viral on social media
The most recent food to boggle Twitterati’s mind is an ice-cream stick version of simple idli, after the bizarre Maggi milkshake and butter chicken golgappa.
A picture of ‘idli ice cream’ doing rounds on social media and creating a buzz. The idli ice cream started a serious conversation on the internet and netizens parted into two groups.
It is known that usually idlis are round in shape and now the idlis have got a new look that shaped like a chocolate bar with an ice-cream stick.
The idli with the stick dipped in sambar. Some netizens are praising the creativity of the makers and a few are requesting not to spoil the traditional food item.
Anand Mahindra took to his Twitter and tweeted as “Bengaluru, India’s innovation capital can’t stop its creativity from manifesting itself in the most unexpected areas… Idli on a stick—sambhar & chutney as dips…Those in favour, those against??”
The tweet caused a schism among netizens. The post has been gathering likes and retweets by the hour and now has 1,959 retweets and 22.8k likes.
