Illicit Liquor in Telangana brand Name, Srinivas Goud Warns
Illicit Liquor | Hyderabad, Dec. 20 (Maxim News): Srinivas Goud, Minister for Excise and Youth Affairs, has responded to the Illicit liquor made in Odisha under the Telangana brand name.
Addressing scribes, Srininvas Goud congratulated for busting a fake liquor racket worth around Rs 2 crore 50 lakh being illegally manufactured in Odisha and sold in the state.
The seized counterfeit liquor boxes and liquor making machines were examined at Hayat Nagar Excise Station of Rangareddy District.
The illicit alcohol is produced in the Abhaypur, Odisha, forest area. Ten people have already been detained in this matter, and additional detentions will take place soon.
The Minister has announced that the licence of a liquor store in Narayanguda has been cancelled; this Naryanaguda store’s licence was under suspicion.
He warned that harsh action would be taken against any further people of this calibre who were engaged in the production and marketing of illegal alcohol.

He emphasised that there is no purpose in leaving them, regardless of how significant and influential they are in this situation.
He claimed that because of the actions of a few people, the state would suffer since its income would drop and its citizens’ health would suffer.
He claimed that the illicit liquor trade had already been put an end to throughout the state, notably in Tandas, thanks to measures implemented by the chief minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
No one will be spared, he claimed, including those participating in the illegal booze trade.
He said that the government had confiscated illegal alcohol valued at about 2.5 crore.
The supply of Gudumba and illegal alcohol was fully stopped once Telangana state was created, he continued, adding that alcohol mafias were once active.
No matter the political leader, he made it plain that such crimes committed in other states would not be spared. He pledged to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the situation. (Maxim News)
