Hyderabad, Feb.26 (Maxim News): Finance Minister T Harish Rao said Rs 500 fine will be imposed on those not separating garbage into dry and wet. He asked the officials to impose penalty if anyone throws garbage on open plots or areas instead of dust bins or dump yards.
Participating in Pattana Pragati program in Siddipet, Harish Rao pulled up officials on poor sanitation and garbage pile-up on streets. “Ensure that drainage lines are completed in 10 days”, he directed the officials. He also asked the officials to create awareness among the people on garbage, cleanliness, greenery and sanitation.
The minister said unless the people are aware of greenery and cleanliness, they cannot overcome health problems. He directed the Revenue officials to give pattas to house owners in four days under GOs 58 and 59. Based on their area built, give pattas to them in a hassle-free manner, he said. He also instructed the officials to complete the underground drainage works in 10 days otherwise mosquito menace will lead to viral fevers, he cautioned.
The minister also pulled up the officials for not attending to cleanliness and problems of people on basic facilities. (Maxim News)
