Meanwhile, the police are making tight security arrangements in the city in the wake of the New Year celebrations. They especially kept an eye on pubs and bars.  In this order, surprise checks were conducted in pubs and bars under Madhapur Police Station. The checks were conducted under the auspices of Narcotics, Excise, SOT, and Madhapur police. They inquired about the extent of the permits. They warned that cases would be registered if it came to their attention that ganja and drugs were supplied.

Special checks were conducted with the dog squad. The police have issued orders to pub owners to maintain soundproofing along with sound pollution. They have advised pub owners to celebrate the New Year peacefully. They have once again warned that strict action will be taken against those who allow drugs, marijuana, and other intoxicants in such situations.

Meanwhile, the seizure of drugs at the AP and Telangana borders has created a stir. The police seized drugs being transported illegally in a private travel bus at Nallabandagudem, Kodad mandal. The drugs were seized in a bus coming from Bhubaneswar to Hyderabad. The police have detained three people in this incident and are interrogating them.  Excise officials say that the details of the drugs will be revealed after lab tests.

On the other side, pubs, clubs, and resort managers are preparing to attract youth and partygoers for the New Year celebrations.  In the backdrop of the New Year celebrations, some people secretly supply expensive liquor and various drugs to the city from abroad.  They try to make a huge profit by intoxicating partygoers. The police suspect that smugglers who have already entered the field are importing narcotics like ganja and drugs to the city.  It seems that new smugglers are being brought into the field as old gangs are being disrupted.  Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing and Telangana Narcotic Bureau officials have paid special attention to identifying and stopping such gangs.
