Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 14 (Maxim News) It is known that the dispute between India and China over the Shaksgam Valley is ongoing. In this context, India has recently given a big shock to China. India has once again denied China’s claim that this area is part of its country. Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has said that the agreement signed between Pakistan and China in 1963 regarding the handover of this valley is illegal. Speaking at a media conference in Delhi, he revealed key facts.
They said that the agreement signed by Pakistan in 1963 illegally handing over the Shaksgam Valley to China is invalid. They also made it clear that they will not recognize any activities taking place in this area. They concluded that they will consider the joint action of these two countries regarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as an illegal act.
Meanwhile, India on January 9 raised objections to the development work undertaken by China in the Shaksgam Valley area. It said that we will never recognize the 1963 border agreement that Pakistan-China claims. It made it clear that the Shaksgam Valley is part of India. China also responded to India’s statement. It said that this area is part of its country and that India has no chance of objecting to the development work they are undertaking here. In this context, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi recently responded to this issue.
The Shaksgam Valley is a complex territorial dispute between India, Pakistan, and China. It is also known as the ‘Trans-Karakoram Tract’. Pakistan occupied it when India became independent. Then in 1963, it was illegally sold to China. In fact, it is illegal to occupy an area that belongs to India and give it to another country. By handing over this valley to China, Pakistan has established a road connection with China. Through this, heavy machinery and electronic goods from China are being transported to Pakistan.
