India records 13,086 COVID-19 cases, 19 fatalities

New Delhi, July 05: India recorded 13,086 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours against previous day’s 16,135 count, Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

With new 19 fatalities, the nationwide death toll rises to 5,25,242.

The number of active cases has also increased to 1,14,475 cases, or 0.26% of all positive cases.

The total number of patients who have recovered in the past 24 hours is 12,456; this brings the total to 4,28,91,933. India now has a recovery rate of 98.53 percent.

The Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 3.81 percent, while the Daily Positivity Rate has similarly fallen to 2.90 percent.

During the same time frame, 4,51,312 tests in total were carried out nationwide, bringing the total to over 86.44 crore.

By using 2,58,74,950 sessions as of Tuesday morning, the Covid-19 immunisation coverage had surpassed 198.09 crore.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign for this age group, the Covid-19 vaccine has been given to almost 3.69 crore adolescents.
