Indian Institute Of Welding With DRDL Organise A 2-Day Workshop On AWTNMP-2024

IIW Hyderabad Branch in association with Defence Research and Development Laboratory Hyderabad is organizing a two-day workshop on “Advanced Welding Technologies in National Mission Programs” (AWTNMP-2024).

The workshop was inaugurated by the Chief Guest G.A. Srinivasa Murthy, Distinguished Scientist and Director DRDL Hyderabad in presence of Guest of Honours Dr. G. Madhusudhan Reddy, former Director DMRL and C. Phani Babu, former Dy. Chief Executive, NFC Hyderabad on 11th Jan 2024 at DRDL.

Dr. Jaiteerth R Joshi, Chairman AWTNMP motivated the participants through his inspirational talk emphasizing the need to develop welding technologies for strengthening of manufacturing sector and economical growth of the country.

G.A Srinivasa Murthy, Director DRDL enlightened the participants with his speech and informed about welder training programs being conducted by DRDL for skill development of welders from Industry Partners.

Dr. G. Madhusudhan Reddy delivered Keynote address on “Innovative Approaches in Joining of Advanced Materials”. He shared that material joining shall take the primary stage on par with design for better structural performance in field application.

More than 120 participants attended the event from different laboratories of DRDO, the Department of Atomic Energy, DPSU’s, Industry Partners and Academia.
