Hyderabad, Feb.21 (Maxim News): On behalf of State government Endowments Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy offered silk clothes to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy at Vemulavada in Siricilla Rajanna district on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri festival. He offered special prayers and received blessings from the temple priests.
On arrival at the temple, the temple priests welcomed the minister with poornakumbham. Indrakaran Reddy and his family members had a darshan of the presiding deity and received blessings from the Veda pandits. Speaking to the media later, the minister said the State government has made all arrangements for the convenience of the devotees and extended greetings to them. He also prayed the Almighty to give peace and prosperity to the people of the State.
Health Minister Etela Rajender also presented silk cloths to residing deity and performed special puja in the temple.
Earlier, the TTD officials and priests presented silk clothes to the presiding deity. They also presented prasadams of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy to Indrakaran Reddy. The minister appealed to the people to celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner by cooperating with the officials and police on security. He claimed that the government was spending huge funds for developing all the temples in the State. Earlier, the TTD officials and priests presented silk clothes to the presiding deity. They also presented prasadams of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy to Indrakaran Reddy.
Local MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh, Endowments Commissioner Anil Kumar, District Collector Krishna Bhaskar, temple executive officer Krishnaveni and others were present. (Maxim News)
