Hyderabad, June 3 (Maxim News): A. Indrakaran Reddy, Minister for Endowments, EFS&T and Law, today visited Nehru Zoological Park and released a pair of African Lion cubs into the enclosure for the public display at Lion moat area, Ostrich chicks in Ostrich enclosure, inaugurated Walkthrough aviary at Stork enclosure and Duck pond enclosure.
The Minister and Ajay Mishra, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, EFS&T, along with P.K. Jha, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Forest and Zoo officials went round the zoo and appreciated the maintenance and upkeep of the zoo. Later, the Minister and the Special Chief Secretary and others planted trees to supplement the fallen trees during winds and rain in Zoo Park on April 20, 2019.
The 8th Zoo’s And Park’s Authority of Telangana annual meeting was held at the meeting hall of the Nehru Park and the committee approved the developmental works proposed to be taken up in 2019-20. Tech Mahindra has come forward to take up uplift of zoo park under CSR up to Rs one crore duly taking up food court at front entrance. The same was approved by the committee. Zoo infrastructure plan for 2020-40 was developed and presented before the committee for approval. (Maxim News)
