Instead Of Bangaru Telangana, KCR Transformed State Debt-Ridden: Laxman
Hyderabad, Dec.13 (Maxim News): State BJP president Dr K Laxman today alleged that the TRS government has failed on all fronts against the promise of transforming infant State into “Bangaru Telangana“.
Speaking to mediapersons at the State party office here today, Laxman said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had vowed to transform the State into “Bangaru Telangana”, but miserably failed to do so with his faulty policies and turned it debt-ridden, corrupt and State of agitations by the people. On the performance of first year rule of second term of TRS government, Laxman said the people have voted the party for second time believing promises of KCR. But KCR has betrayed people by not keeping his promises of providing two bed-room houses to poor, not filling vacant government posts, failure to provide unemployment allowance to jobless youth, non-waiver of loans to farmers.
The BJP leader also alleged that all people, including laborers, employees, some of his ministers and MLAs are not happy with the style of functioning of KCR. He also alleged that the Chief Minister was taking decisions and holding review meetings without involving the ministers concerned. He said KCR took a “U” turn on the issue of RTC employees, who went on strike in support of their demands only after 30 RTC employees committed suicide and pressure mounted by the Opposition parties.
Expressing concern over financial condition of the State, Laxman alleged that the Telangana State, once surplus become debt-ridden due to wrong economic policies and mishandling of the situation by the Chief Minister. Consequently, the State’s debts crossed Rs three lakh crore. He said the TRS government was unable to make payments to the beneficiaries under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes. There are four lakh applications pending for payments under the two social welfare schemes, he said, adding that the TRS government misused funds allotted for Haritha Haram program. He demanded that the government release a white paper on the total number of saplings planted during the program and their survival rate.
