Instructed Officials To Carry Out Checks And Surveillances: Ronald Rose

Hyderabad, October 17 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has directed the election officials to carry out checks across the city following the code of conduct of elections.

District Election Officer held a review meeting with Bank, RBI, Income Tax, Vigilance, RTA, and NCB officials at GHMC headquarters on Tuesday.

He said that as per the directions of the Election Commission, parcel, courier, train checking, and surveillance programs at the borders should be carried out on a large scale to prevent the movement of cash and liquor in the Hyderabad district.

He said that CCTV cameras should be installed at all wine shops and monitored through the control room. He said that special measures should be taken to identify the hot spots in the district by the excise department.

All godowns should be checked and CC cameras should be installed, he said. He said that checks should be carried out through 18 integrated check posts.

He said that the details of large amounts of cash transactions in the last six months through RBI and the Post Office should be provided.

He said that details of money transfers from one account to multiple accounts through UPI (Google Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm) should be provided.

The Income Tax Department will take action on cash transactions exceeding Rs.10 lakhs. the details of cash transactions exceeding 10 lakhs and large amounts of money transfers should be provided.

He said that the sources of cash should be identified and provided by the banks. He said that surveillance and cameras should be installed on vehicles depositing cash in ATMs.

He said that the illegally transported cash should be seized and information should be provided to the District Grievance Cell. The income tax officials said that a full investigation should be done on the suspected cash transactions. He said that illegal money should be kept under vigilance.

The RTA officials said that they will deploy their staff in 18 check posts. the head of the NCB department said that extensive checks should be carried out on drugs being transported from Ghatkesar.

He said that surveillance should be kept in places where cigarettes and ganja are supplied. Intelligence officials said that inspections should be carried out in industrial units and godown areas.

To keep a vigil on gold and silver being smuggled and carry out checks in wholesale markets through e-waybills and FMCG. For cash seized by the District Grievance Cell, the relevant vehicles should be recorded and the time and vehicle number should be included.
