Hyderabad: An intelligence head constable working in the Zaheerabad sub division died of a heart attack on Thursday night, triggering grief across Sangareddy district. The deceased was identified as CH Narayana, who served in the Intelligence Police Department. Police said the incident occurred while he was returning home on his motorcycle.
According to the Zaheerabad police, CH Narayana was 55 years old and hailed from Chikurthi village in Nyalkal mandal. He had been working in the intelligence wing for some time. As part of his duties, he served as a field officer in Nyalkal and Jharasangam mandals of the Zaheerabad constituency. He was also collecting intelligence related to the ongoing municipal elections.
Police said that on Thursday night, Narayana was riding his bike home from the bypass road. However, during the journey, he suffered a sudden heart attack. As a result, he fell off the motorcycle. He died on the spot. Officials confirmed that there was no delay between the collapse and his death.
Intelligence head constable served as field officer
The intelligence head constable played a key role in gathering local inputs for the department. He actively covered Nyalkal and Jharasangam mandals. He also focused on intelligence work connected to municipal election activities. Therefore, his sudden death has left a gap in the local intelligence setup.
Meanwhile, senior police officers came to know about the incident soon after it occurred. They reached out to the family and local officials. Public representatives from the concerned mandals also expressed shock. They conveyed their condolences to the family of the deceased head constable.
Later, police reiterated that CH Narayana was performing his regular duties before the incident. They said there were no reports of prior illness at the workplace. However, the heart attack struck without warning during his travel. Therefore, the incident has deeply saddened colleagues and officials familiar with his service.
The intelligence department and local police units continue to mourn the loss. Officers described him as a committed field officer who handled sensitive assignments.
