Inter Hostel Sports and Cultural Activities inaugurated at MANUU

Hyderabad: As part of UGC’s G20 University Connect Programme, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today inaugurated a week long Annual Inter Hostel Sports and Cultural activities being jointly organized by Provost Boys Hostel, Provost Girls Hostel and Directorate of Physical Education & Sports. The Vice Chancellor flagged off 3K run competition for boys and 2K run for Girls.

Mr. Shabaz Manzoor (B.A. student) declared winner for boys 3K Run & Ms. Saima Parween (D.El.Ed Student) is the winner for girls 2K Run competition.

Prof. Ainul Hasan in his inaugural address highlighted the importance of sports and health for the mental well being of individuals.

Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf, Dean, Student Welfare appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and for maintaining the spirit of sports. Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed I. Patel, Provost Boys Hostel welcomed the gathering.

Dr. Javed Nadeem Nadvi, Programme Coordinator briefed about 3K and 2K Run.

Prof. Viqarunnisa, Provost (Girls), Dr. Patan Rahim Khan, Dr. Md. Athar Hussain and Dr. Govindaiah Godavarthi were present at the inaugural event. Dr. Firdaus Tabassum proposed a vote of thanks.

The other sports and cultural activities include cricket, volleyball, table tennis, football, badminton, carroms, chess, elocution, debate, essay writing, quiz, bait bazi, singing, mimicry, mime. The Inter Hostel Fest will end on May 21, 2023.
