International Conference On Peace And Harmony Concludes At MANUU

Hyderabad: Prof. Obaidullah Fahd, Chairperson, Department of Islamic Studies, Aligarh Muslim University shed light on prophetic teachings and the principles of interfaith peace and harmony in the modern context, emphasizing the need to implement these principles in view of current global challenges. He was delivering valedictory address yesterday at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU).

The Department of Islamic Studies, MANUU in collaboration with the Henry Martyn Institute, Hyderabad organized two days international conference “Peace and Harmony: A Religious Perspective” on October 08 & 09, 2025.

The renowned scientist and historian Prof. Ram Puniyaniin his address, emphasized the importance of interfaith harmony andsocial dialoguestating that despite religious and social differences, intellectual and moral unity is essential for the progress of society. He was speaking as the guest of honour.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed Registrar, MANUU while delivering presidential address, acknowledged the academic contributions of the paper presenters, stating that such scholarly gatherings play a vital role in promoting social harmony and academic progress.

The chief guest, Prof. P.H. Mohammad, Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences, MANUU highlighted the key points and scholarly impact of the conference in his speech. Prof. Mohammad Habib, Head, Department of Islamic Studies delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Mohammad Sirajuddin conducted the programme and Dr. Atif Imran proposed a vote of thanks.
