Hyderabad: K. Chandrashekhar Rao extended greetings to women on the occasion of International Women’s Day and called for greater efforts toward women empowerment. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi president said women play an equal role in the development of society and the nation.
In his message, the former Chief Minister said women are creators of social wealth. He also stressed that their contribution remains essential for the progress of families, society, and the country. Therefore, he said women deserve greater opportunities in all fields.
KCR highlights women’s role in society and Telangana development
KCR said women shoulder the responsibility of sustaining human life. Because of this role, he said they deserve wider opportunities and stronger support across sectors. He also noted that women continue to contribute to social and national progress.
Meanwhile, he recalled the important role played by women in the Telangana statehood movement. According to him, women also played a key role in the state’s development after its formation. Their participation helped shape the growth of the region during the years that followed.
He also referred to welfare and empowerment programmes implemented during the decade long rule of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi government. According to him, these initiatives aimed to support women and strengthen their role in society. Therefore, he said governments must continue working toward greater women empowerment.
KTR calls for respect and dignity for women
K. T. Rama Rao also shared a message on International Women’s Day. He urged people to treat women with respect and dignity. He said society must respect women not because they are mothers, sisters, or daughters, but because they are human beings.
KTR said, “The day we accept that women are equally human and they deserve respect, dignity like every one of us, the world will surely be a better place.”
He also called on men to reflect on their role in society. According to him, men should promise to become better individuals so that women do not have to struggle for basic rights. Later, he wished that women grow stronger and continue to thrive in every field.
