Internship In Degree Will Be Implemented From Next Year

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (Maxim News) Usually, students studying in rural areas do their intermediate and then their degree after the tenth standard. However, if they write EAMCET after the intermediate, they have the opportunity to go towards engineering or medicine. Thus, they have a way to get job opportunities through the skills they have acquired. However, the skills of those who went directly to degree and then PG are somewhat less. Due to this, only those with skills are currently getting jobs.

Even the companies that provide jobs are giving jobs only to those who have worked according to the needs of the respective companies. In this order, the education department has stepped into the field to increase the skills in the current degree. After preliminary discussions, it has been decided to make internship mandatory for students studying in government degree colleges in the state. It is expected to provide this opportunity in one semester in the third year of the degree. The government has decided to implement the internship ( internship-jobs) /apprenticeship system in the next academic year (2026-27). It is expected that this will provide them with a suitable place in future job opportunities.

Internship is mandatory at present. This means that students have to work in various industries, offices, and shops for a few years like a job. In a way, it is appropriate to call it training even if it is a lot of work. However, if someone wants to do an internship for free, they may not be very interested. Even then.. It is true that a majority of those studying in government degree colleges are poor and lower middle class. That is why the government has decided to pay them a monthly stipend for the internship period. For this, the respective universities and the State Higher Education Council are planning to pay that amount. The universities pay stipend to students in the government degree colleges affiliated to them. The Education Council gives a certain amount as its share. The government’s idea is to make the respective industries pay some more. Efforts are ongoing in this direction. – Internship-based AI ML degree in Hyderabad.

In fact, this is not a new thing. The central government and various regulatory bodies like AICTE and UGC have been saying for a long time that internships or apprenticeships should be provided to students. AICTE has also launched a special portal for this. However, internships are not available to a large percentage of B.Tech students. There is no connection between the respective educational institutions and the industries. As a result, internships are limited to a few prominent colleges. Due to this, only the students of those colleges are getting opportunities.

However, the State Council of Higher Education has appointed an expert committee to upgrade the engineering syllabus and change the nature of B.Tech education to suit the present. The expert committee has made several recommendations. In its report, it has been stated that it is mandatory to complete one industrial internship in the second semester of the second year of B.Tech and another by the end of the second semester of the third year. However, universities are complaining that they are facing difficulty every month in paying salaries to teaching and non-teaching staff and that there is no funds for development work. In these circumstances, the vice-chancellors are expressing their concerns internally about how they can pay stipends to degree students. Due to this, internships are being postponed from time to time. It is not that easy for the current government to implement internships from next year. It remains to be seen how the government will move forward in this regard. (Maxim News)
