Interstate Drug Peddling Racket Busted: Arrested Two: Seized Drugs Worth Rs. 12 Lakhs
Hyderabad, July 27 (Maxim News): The Special Operation Team, Maheshwaram team along with Balapur Police has busted an interstate drug peddling racket for transporting and selling heroin and arrested Siddiq Shah of Neha Cosmetics and Hanif Shah having scrap businesses both from Madhya Pradesh and the third accused Montu is absconding and seized from them Heroin Drug 100 grams, net cash Rs. 13,000 and Mobile phones 3. all worth Rs. 12 lakhs.

The accused confessed that drug peddling yields good income and they developed contacts with local drug peddlers. They established a connection with a supplier Montu from the Pratapgarh district in Rajasthan. The duo purchased heroin at a low price from a supplier and intended to sell it at a significantly higher price in Hyderabad. Accordingly, they acquired 100 grams of heroin for ₹6,00,000 from the source at Ratlam concealed in plastic covers in their bags and came to Hyderabad for resale to their known sources.
On 26-07-2024, evening hours, the SOT Maheshwaram Zone team along with Balapur police apprehended the accused persons near Iman Enclave, Airport Restaurant, Balapur Village, and recovered Heroin drugs, Net Cash, and Mobile Phones from their possession. Both Hanif Shah and Siddiq Shah admitted their involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Efforts are efforts to identify the consumers and to apprehend the absconding source / main peddler.
It is an appeal to the people and students that procuring, selling, transporting and consumption of the banned Narcotics substances and drugs is a crime and punishable by imprisonment for 10 years and also death, according to Section 31A of the NDPS Act. Further requests the society to help police in curbing this menace.
The arrests were made under the direct supervision of G. Sudheer Babu, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and under the guidance of K. Muralidhar, DCP, SOT, LB Nagar-Maheshwaram, SOT, and Balapur police personnel. (Maxim News)
