Introducing Sale Of Neera Drink Under Study: Minister

Hyderabad, Sept.26 (Maxim News): Minister for Excise, Tourism and Culture V Srinivas Goud today said the State government will bring in a special policy for promotion of Medicinal Drink “Neera” in the State.

Talking to mediapersons here on Thursday, the minister said special restaurants with foods and needs will be set up near Tank Bund and other noted places in the city. The State will implement the Neera policy and give permission to only Gowda community for selling the drink. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was for helping Gowda community in the districts also, he said.

It was proved that Neera has medicinal characters and address sugar problem of patients, he said, adding medicinal drink will be made available across the State in phased manner. The drink was being sold in several States and produced in some other countries, he said. (Maxim News)
