Our handloom products are made with great quality and skill. Many airports and famous shopping complexes abroad also display silk sarees and handloom products related to our country and the state. About 5 crore people depend on this sector for their livelihood. However, due to some reasons, the handloom industry is facing difficulties. The central and state governments should work to solve these problems.

Handloom workers should be further encouraged and seen to get remunerative prices. There is a need to promote them more widely in the world market.
The handloom industry in the country is 2.3 percent of the GDP. It should be taken up to 5 percent. For this, every handloom worker should work hard. Skills should be improved. The central and state governments are ready to provide training. If we do so, in the coming days, only products made in India will be available anywhere in the world. said Kishan Reddy.
“While our products are being sold in foreign countries, some are buying them there and bringing them to our country. Apart from that, there is a need to promote indigenous products. Every item used should be made in India. Every family should wear handloom clothes for a week a month, the Union Minister called. (Maxim News)
