Hyderabad, May 3: Israel strikes Hezbollah bases in a major escalation as the Israel Defense Forces launched pre emptive airstrikes targeting militant infrastructure in Lebanon early Sunday. The operation followed intelligence inputs that Hezbollah was preparing large scale attacks on Israeli territory.
Officials confirmed that more than 50 key Hezbollah sites were destroyed. These included weapons depots, missile launchers, and command centers. The strikes mainly targeted southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.

According to the IDF, the air raids caused significant damage to Hezbollah’s strategic assets. Several militants were also reportedly killed during the operation. Israeli warplanes focused on infrastructure used for rocket launches toward border areas.
Meanwhile, tensions along the Israel Lebanon border have intensified in recent days. Hezbollah has been firing rockets into northern Israel. As a result, residents in border regions have faced repeated security threats.
In response, Israel has adopted a firm military strategy. The Prime Minister’s Office of Israel stated that protecting citizens remains the top priority. It added that operations will continue until the threat is neutralized.
Furthermore, authorities have declared high alert across border areas. Security forces remain prepared for further escalation depending on developments.
