The murder, which stemmed from an old rivalry, was reportedly pre-planned and executed in a public area, causing panic among commuters.

Police Crack Case Within Hours Using CCTV and Technical Inputs

The deceased, Roshan Kumar Singh, an auto driver from Panchasheela Colony, Balanagar, was attacked by T. Bala Showreddy alias Badshah (21), Syed Mahamood (28), and Revo Aditya alias Adil alias Adi (26) — all residents of Jagadgirigutta.

Police said Showreddy, who has a history of violent offences, harboured a long-standing grudge against another rowdy sheeter, Shareef.

Roshan, who supported Shareef, had earlier threatened Showreddy, intensifying the feud.

In retaliation, Showreddy bought a knife online and, along with Mahamood and Aditya, plotted to eliminate Roshan.

On November 5, they lured him to the Jagadgiri Gutta bus stop, where Showreddy stabbed him multiple times while Mahamood restrained him. Roshan was rushed to Medi-Tech Hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital, where he died during treatment.

Police seized the murder weapon, bloodstained clothes, a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, and the accused persons’ mobile phones.

Showreddy and Aditya each have multiple prior cases under attempt-to-murder and assault charges. Roshan himself was also named in several criminal cases.

Under the supervision of DCP (SOT) P. Shobhan Kumar and ACP P. Naresh Reddy, the investigation team led by Inspectors B. Venkatesham and Shiva Kumar solved the case using CCTV analysis and technical surveillance.

Cyberabad Police have warned that anyone found assisting or abetting such crimes will face strict legal action.

They also cautioned the public against recording violent incidents on mobile phones instead of alerting police immediately. (Maxim News)
