Jagan’s Ramadan Gift To Muslims During Lockdown
Islam’s holiest month Ramadan around the globe is looking slightly different this year. The Muslim community is restricted to usual festivities and large gatherings to prevent further viral outbreaks.
AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in a recent meeting with district collectors and the religious leaders, has instructed the officials on the measures being taken to fight COVID-19.
Jagan’s government has given some relaxation during this Ramadan month by releasing a G.O 721. Imams, Mouzans, and three committee members will be permitted to offer prayers in the Mosques, and the rest should confine to their houses and offer prayers during the holy month as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Imams, Mouzans have been given passes, and accordingly, they can offer prayers five times a day. The shops dealing with daily needs, vegetables, and fruits were given some specific times to operate.
