Jagga Startles MLAs By Meeting Harish After 14 Years
Hyderabad, Sept.19 (Maxim News): The legislators in the Assembly lobbies were startled when Congress member from Sangareddy Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy met Finance Minister T Harish Rao and conferred with the latter for half-an-hour.
Speaking to mediapersons later, Jagga Reddy said he spoke to Harish Rao after 14 years for solving the long-pending problems of his constituency people and development of his segment. He said he appealed to Harish Rao to lend a helping hand to solve the problems. He also said the Finance Minister had favorably responded to his appeal.
Referring to his party affairs, Jagga Reddy said differences among his party senior leaders were common like in any other party. While the differences in the regional parties come to the fore early, they would come out in public late in the national political parties. He also said it will be good if the party leaders express their opinions on party forums.
Commenting on Nalgonda district, Jagga Reddy said TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has freedom to select party candidate for the ensuing by-elections in his Huzurnagar Assembly constituency but the party high command will have final say in the matter. Defending senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao, he said V.Hanumantha Rao was working for the party as a full-time leader and none should criticize him. (Maxim News)
