Jayashankar Agricultural University Set to Issue Notice to IAS Officer Smita Sabharwal

Hyderabad, Mar 20 (Maxim News): It seems that the Prof Jayashankar Agricultural University authorities are ready to issue notices to IAS officer Smita Sabharwal, it is reported that notices will be issued regarding vehicle allowance.

It is learned that the authorities are planning to take action as per the advice of legal experts. Meanwhile, Smita Sabharwal, in the capacity of Additional Secretary to CMO, took Rs. 61 lakh from Jayashankar University as vehicle rental for a total period of 90 months from 2016 to 2024.

This matter came to light during the university audit. The audit officials found that Smita Sabharwal had taken Rs. 63,000 per month. The audit officials objected to the taking of Rs. 61 lakh from the university under vehicle allowance. The officials discussed this in the university board meeting and it was reported that they decided to recover the money taken by Smita Sabharwal under vehicle allowance from the university.

It is reported that the university authorities are planning to submit a full report to the government in two to three days and then issue notices to recover the funds from Smita Sabharwal. Meanwhile, Smita Sabharwal, who held key positions during the previous BRS government, is already facing an investigation into the Kaleshwaram project irregularities. Meanwhile, it seems that the university affair is getting stuck around Smita Sabharwal’s neck.
