Jeevan Accuses CM & Centre Of Discriminating People Of Telangana

Hyderabad, July 12 (Maxim News): Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Friday alleged that both the State and Central governments were showing discrimination towards the people of Telangana State. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and BJP-led Union government were pushing the new State into a debt trap.

Speaking to mediapersons, Jeevan Reddy said the Centre was putting an additional burden on the people of the Telangana State by not granting national status to Kaleswaram Lift irrigation project. Alleging that the Kaleswaram project was built by the Chief Minister to protect his “selfish” interests, he said the Centre was claiming that the Kaleswaram project was not given national project status as the State government didn’t submit the DPR of the project.

He demanded that the State government move a privilege motion against the Union government in Parliament if it had submitted the DPR. He also demanded that the State government release a white paper on the issue and noted that Chief Minister KCR should own responsibility for not getting national project status for the project.
