Hyderabad: JITO Incubation & Innovation Foundation (JIIF) an arm of JITO (Jain International Trade Organisation, a unique, multi-stakeholder community of visionary Jain Industrialists, Businessmen & Professionals organised the Two Day 6th Annual Conclave & Foundation Day at Hyderabad at T-HUB at Madhapur.
It was formally inaugurated at T-Hub on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday.
Addressing the 400-plus delegates from across India, Dubai, Singapore and other places, Jayesh Rabjan, who was the guest of honour said you made a wise decision by hosting it at T-Hub instead of Mumbai. Hyderabad and T-Hub are the Mecca of Entrepreneurship. The dreams take shape here. Unlike popular belief that Governments should not involve in running businesses, Telangana Government changed the narrative to create the marvel that fosters entrepreneurship in the state. T-Hub is a jewel in our crown. Besides T-Hub, we have 70 other innovative spaces in the city.
One policy feature of the Innovation policy of this state is that if startups have any products that are relevant to the government, the government will become their first customer and procure their products without going through the set government procedures. This worked well for us. Sixty such products were procured in the last 9 years since the policy came into existence, he told the hall-packed audience.
Jains were the first non-native community that migrated to the city during the rule of the 4th Nizam. Since then Jains contributed to the progress of the state.
He gave three suggestions to Jain entrepreneurs. One is to provide more corporate opportunities to the startups incubated in T-Hub. Two take time out to mentor them. Three is to partner with T-Hub to further strengthen our innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
M. Srinivas Rao Mahakali, CEO of T-Hub gave an overview of the T-Hub, its journey and activities. Currently, it incubates 300 startups and when it becomes fully functional it can incubate 700 startups in 30 different sectors, which in funding raised 2 billion US $. In the past 8 years of the T-Hub journey, it helped 1200 startups. Many hit movies in the recent past were made here in the city like Pushpa, Bahubali, RRR and others. So in support of the entertainment industry, we are coming up with an Image Tower next to T-Hub, which will be ready by next year.
An MoU was signed and exchanged between T-Hub and JIIF in the presence of M. Srinivasa Rao Mahakali, CEO of T-Hub. This MoU was entered for mutual cooperation and collaboration in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Rajath Mehta and Rajesh Jain and M. Srinivasa Rao Mahakali participated in the event
