Journalists Should Be Given Accreditation Cards Without Any Conditions: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Maxim News): The BRS government has brought a free health scheme for employees as well as journalists. We have decided to provide completely free services to journalists with a 1% contribution for employees. But now this government is whining just looking at journalists, said former minister and BRS deputy floor leader Harish Rao. On Tuesday, Harish Rao inspected the construction work of the super specialty hospital being built in Warangal along with other BRS leaders.

After inspecting the progress of the hospital work, Harish Rao strongly criticized the negligence of the Congress government. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said, “KCR has set up a welfare fund for journalists with Rs 100 crore. But has the Congress government allocated even a single rupee for journalists in these two budgets?” he questioned.

Has anyone been given a new accreditation card in two and a half years? Harish Rao wants accreditation cards to be given to journalists without any conditions. He said that the government should pay the premium for the accidental insurance of journalists as implemented by the BRS government. Otherwise, if journalists die in an accident, their families will be left on the road. He said that he is demanding that the Employee Health Scheme be implemented on par with the Journalists’ Health Scheme. (Maxim News)
