Jubilee Hills By-Election: Congress, BRS & BJP Gear Up for High-Stakes Contest
Hyderabad, Sept 13 (Maxim News): Keeping in view that the Election Commission of India has already given the hint of holding the by-election to the Jubilee Hills Constituency, with the schedule likely to be released in the first or second week of next month, all the major political parties, Congress, BRS and BJP have started taking early steps. Leaders and activists have already been deployed in the constituency. The Jubilee Hills assembly seat fell vacant following the sudden death of MLA Maganti Gopinath.
While the final voter list will be announced on the 30th of this month, official sources say that the by-election notification is likely to be announced anytime after that. This is the second election in the state after the 2023 assembly elections. It is noteworthy that both the constituencies within the greater area. The by-election was held earlier after the death of Cantonment BRS MLA Lasya Nandita in an accident. The Congress, which did not win in the greater area in the assembly elections, proved its trenth by winning in the cantonment. The ruling party is now hoping to repeat the same results in the Jubilee Hills by-election.

The parties are moving forward strategically with the aim of winning the by-elections. They are acting in a planned manner, from the selection of candidates to the formulation and implementation of plans at the field level. They are taking into account the party’s strengths and social equations in the constituency. It is noteworthy that special attention is being paid to which leader to entrust responsibilities in which area. The Congress party has entrusted the election responsibilities to District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Labor Minister Gaddam Vivek. MLAs and other leaders of the party are also being involved.
BRS, BJP Gear Up for Jubilee Hills By-Election
BRS has assigned responsibilities to MLAs and MLCs by division. Corporator/former corporator and senior leaders have been assigned responsibilities for five booths. They are already holding meetings with the party ranks. Executive President KTR has already given signals that the late Gopinath’s wife Maganti Sujatha will contest from the BRS Party. With this, she is organizing condolence meetings for Gopinath in colonies and bastis. Gopinath’s daughters are also touring the field level. BJP is moving its pawns with the aim of winning the by-elections. The leaders have held two preparatory meetings with the party workers for the by-elections.
The Congress and BJP parties are yet to finalize their candidates. It seems that Naveen Yadav, former mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Rahmatnagar corporator CN Reddy are hoping for a ticket from the ruling party. Former MP Ranjith Reddy’s name has also recently come to the fore. Although there was a campaign that MLA Danam Nagender would contest from Jubilee Hills, he denied it. From the BJP, Lankala Deepak Reddy, Keerthy Reddy, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, Madhavi Latha, Dr. Padmavipaneni and former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao’s grandson NV Subhash are hoping for candidature.
