Jubilee Hills By-Election Under New Electoral Reform: CEO

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy held a meeting with representatives of various political parties following the announcement of the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency Bye-Election schedule. Representatives from BJP, INC, BRS, AAP, and MIM attended the meeting.

During the session, the CEO announced that the bye-election will be conducted under the new electoral reforms introduced by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, being implemented for the first time during the Bihar Assembly Elections and other eight Assembly bye-elections nationwide. The CEO reviewed the readiness of all departments and emphasized the need for a free, fair, and peaceful election. He urged political parties to cooperate and comply with the Model Code of Conduct.

CEO holds meetings with political parties on Jubilee Hills By-Elections and discussed the reforms aimed to enhance voter convenience, transparency and efficiency, with key measures including, limiting 1,200 voters per polling station to prevent overcrowding. Color photographs of candidates on EVMs for easier identification, Women polling personnel deployment to boost women’s participation, Improved accessibility for senior citizens & persons with disabilities
