Jubilee Hills Police Arrested Two Drug Peddlers: Drugs Worth Rs 10 Lacs Seized

Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): The Jubilee Hills Police and the Commissioner’s Task Force have arrested two drug peddlers and seized MDMA drugs worth Rs. 10 lakh. The accused have been identified as Pradeep Sharma and Matanwar Veerendar.  

Addressing the press persons, today,  the Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad city, Joel Davis said On September 3, 2023, the police arrested the two men Sharma who is a Home Guard in Rajasthan, while Veerendar is a drug peddler from Telangana, two of them had formed a gang to sell drugs in the Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hils and Hitech city areas were arrested at Road No. 5 in Jubilee Hills.  They were found in possession of 215 grams of MDMA drugs.   The police also seized Rs. 8,500 cash and two mobile phones from the accused 

The accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act), the arrests were made, under the supervision of Radha Kishan Rao, OSD, Commissioner’s Task Force, Inspector and Staff of South West Zone Team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, ACP, Jubilee Hills Hari Prasad, Inspectors and staff of Jubilee Hills Police station.  

The accused persons in this case will be under rigorous imprisonment for a term that may extend to ten years and with a fine which may extend to Rs. one lakh.  said the Deputy Commissioner (Maxim News)
