Judge Fined Rs. 1 Crore For Misleading High Court
Hyderabad, Mar 18 (Maxim News): Telangana High Court Judge Justice Nagesh has announced a sensational verdict. A Rs. 1 crore fine has been imposed on the petitioner who misled the High Court. The High Court has thwarted attempts to seize government lands. With this, the petitioners went to another bench hiding the pending matter in the High Court. Justice Nagesh expressed anger over the petitions filed to mislead the High Court.
Serious action was taken against the petitioners as the order was taken in another bench while the petition was pending. There have been instances in the past where fines were imposed for misleading the court. But, imposing a fine of one crore rupees has now become a topic of discussion.
It is known that in April 2024, the High Court issued an order imposing a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on former Adibatla Chairperson K. Artika in a case of concealing facts and misleading the court. At that time, the High Court found that the court’s time was wasted and baseless allegations were made against the officials.
She expressed her anger that the petition was filed without any basis and was frivolous. She said that the court would not be sympathetic to her as a BC woman. The court dismissed her petition and ordered her to deposit a fine of Rs. 1 lakh with the Legal Services Authority within four weeks, which became a topic of discussion at the time. (Maxim News)
