Hyderabad, Sept. 27: Czech HealthTech company Kardi Ai has launched its AI powered long term ECG monitoring technology in India.
The technology was formally launched at Daspalla Hotel in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Saturday.
The system combines a wearable ECG chest strap, mobile connectivity and AI supported ECG analysis for long term heart rhythm monitoring.
The launch brought together cardiologists, doctors, healthcare professionals and technology stakeholders.
The programme was attended by Kardi Ai Co Founder and CEO Ing.Vlastimil Hrabal, Dr Ramana Jagarlamudi, Dr Raghavendra Rao, CzechTrade representatives and other guests.
Speaking at the event, Hrabal said the technology aims to make long term ECG monitoring simpler and more accessible.
He said heart rhythm abnormalities can occur intermittently and may not appear during a short ECG test or a conventional 24 hour Holter recording.
Kardi Ai Extends Cardiac Monitoring Beyond 24 Hour Holter
A conventional ECG provides a short recording of the heart’s electrical activity. A Holter monitor records cardiac activity continuously for a defined period, commonly 24 hours.
Kardi Ai is designed to extend the monitoring period while patients continue their normal daily activities.
Patients wear a lightweight ECG chest strap. The recorded data is then transmitted through a mobile platform for AI supported analysis.
The system assists physicians in reviewing ECG recordings and identifying potential rhythm abnormalities.
The company says longer monitoring can increase the opportunity to detect intermittent arrhythmias that may not appear during shorter examinations.
Kardi Ai has also reported detection rates of up to 40 percent with its solution, compared with around 2 to 5 percent cited for conventional Holter monitoring. These figures are company reported and can vary according to monitoring protocols, patient groups and clinical definitions.
The technology is intended to support physicians rather than replace clinical diagnosis or medical decision making. Kardi Ai describes the product as prescription grade medical technology rather than a consumer fitness device.
According to the company, Kardi Ai has obtained an MD 15 licence from the Government of India for import and sale.
The device is also CE marked and classified as an EU MDR Class IIa medical device. Its quality management system is aligned with ISO 13485. Kardi Ai’s certification information also identifies its ECG telemetric monitoring system as an MDR Class IIa medical device.
Ing. Josef Hrubec of CzechTrade India highlighted the expanding presence of Czech companies in India.
He said Kardi Ai represents the growing role of Czech innovation in areas such as HealthTech, artificial intelligence and digital healthcare.
The India launch is being facilitated by Hyderabad based Eurasia Medical Technologies LLP, which is serving as Kardi Ai’s Indian representative.
Dr Ramana Jagarlamudi and Dr Raghavendra Rao said the technology comes as healthcare providers increasingly explore remote monitoring and AI assisted clinical tools.
They also said discussions are underway to explore manufacturing the technology in India in the future.
The launch programme focused on cardiac arrhythmias, long term ECG monitoring, remote cardiac care and AI supported ECG analysis.
With the theme “From Signal to Insight for Healthier Lives,” Kardi Ai’s India entry marks its expansion into the country’s healthcare technology market.
