Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said he is confident of securing the Karimnagar Corporation mayoral seat. He made these remarks while speaking to the media in Vemulawada. His comments come amid political debate over the mayoral race in Karimnagar.
Ponnam Prabhakar on Karimnagar Corporation mayoral race
Ponnam Prabhakar referred to statements made by Dharmapuri Arvind. He said that the BJP MP had announced withdrawal from the mayoral race in Nizamabad. According to him, the decision was taken due to the lack of a full majority.
He then questioned how Bandi Sanjay could claim victory in Karimnagar without a majority. He stated that the mayor in corporations is elected democratically. Therefore, he suggested that claims without numbers do not reflect the process.
