Hyderabad, Aug.24 (Maxim News): TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha felicitated Commonwealth Games gold medal winner Nikhat Zareen at her residence in the city on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Kavitha said that it was a proud moment for the country as well as Telangana for becoming a world champion and Zareen’s achievements would remain an inspiration to the budding athletes.
With the winning of gold at Commonwealth Games-2022, Nikhat Zareen also brought proud to her native place Nizamabad, Kavitha said.
On the occasion, Nikhat Zareen reminded the State government’s financial assistance of Rs.50 lakhs sanctioned by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in 2014 at the time of budding athlete and also thanked KCR for sanctioning a plot and a reward of Rs 2 crore.
