Kavitha Land Grab: Rs. 2,000 Crore Balanagar Dispute Sparks Row In Telangana
- Kavitha, Anil Kumar, AV Reddy accused in Balanagar land grab case
- Locals demand MP Etala Rajender act on IDPL land dispute
Sensational allegations have surfaced against Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the suspended BRS leader and daughter of KCR, regarding alleged land grabbing worth ₹2,000 crore.
Kavitha, who now organizes events under Telangana Jagruti, faces accusations along with her husband Anil Kumar and AV Reddy. Locals claim a large-scale land grab took place on government land belonging to IDPL in Balanagar mandal, Hyderabad.
According to complaints presented to Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender, locals allege that Kavitha and her associates created false documents to take possession of 20 acres in survey number 2010/4, Balanagar mandal.
The estimated value of this disputed land exceeds ₹2,000 crore. The complainants say the transfer happened after the Congress government came to power.
They insist Kavitha’s husband Anil Kumar and AV Reddy were directly involved, and that the land—under the Kukatpally MRO office—was registered in Anil Kumar’s name. Locals also told Etala Rajender that real estate projects have started at the site, with flats already constructed and sold.
Complaints state that the land grab was made possible through overlapping survey numbers, and AV Reddy reportedly played a significant role. One local said, “we have complained to officials like Hydra Commissioner Ranganath and the Collector several times, but no action has been taken.”
They urged Etala Rajender to safeguard the land for public use, including schools and hospitals. Responding to their concerns, Etala assured that steps will be taken to protect this government land.
These allegations emerged while Kavitha stepped out of BRS and began her public outreach via ‘Jagruthi’. The land grabbing claims have fueled intense debate in political circles, with questions surrounding whether Etala Rajender’s involvement signals a deeper strategy.
Observers note that as this matter unfolds in his own constituency, Etala seems committed to addressing local concerns. The Balanagar land dispute could rapidly become a political flashpoint in Telangana, given the involvement of high-profile names like Kavitha, Anil Kumar, and AV Reddy.
