Kavitha wins the Nizamabad seat, unopposed
Hyderabad, Nov.24 (Maxim News): TRS MLC candidate K Kavitha who filed her nomination in Nizambad segment for local bodies’ quota polls was unanimously elected.
According to information, Kavitha was elected unanimously with other nomination with incorrect details in the affidavit was rejected by the election authorities. While congress and the BJP failed to contest the polls for any reasons, one independent Srinivas filed his nomination for Nizamabad MLC seat under local bodies’ quota. However her nomination was found to be wrong and failed to fill up correct details as per poll procedures.
The election officials rejected the nomination of lone nomination of Srinivas as not eligible. With this the TRS candidate Kavitha was elected unanimously. The poll body has to announce it officially.
Kavitha filed four sets of nominations for the same and she won the fray. Later she extended thanks to the party and people and vowed to serve the segment. Keeping the previous elections in view, the opposition parties did not come forward to fight the polls in this segment. Though they tried to get candidates no one came forward to contest either. Now Kavitha won the seat unanimously. (Maxim News)
